Debit Card Fees

The Senate was unable to stall a law that would cap on debit card swipe fees at 12cents as opposed the 44 cents it is today. Those 44 cents can add up quickly! Last year alone debit card banks raked in around 16 billion dollars. For those of you who are as confused as I am, let me give it to you simply, remember that time you didn't have enough cash to pay for that $5 sandwich or a $3 beer and you used your debit card instead, more than likely that put the little Mom and Pop sandwich shop out of business and sent my local bar into a tizzy because of the outrageous debit card fees. In other words stop using your damn debit card to buy a $4 coffee got the ATM and get some cash!
